The Spartans went down 1-2-3 in the first, and the Flames got two runs on two hits in the bottom half against Michael Paul | 2-0 Lee. The Flames extended their lead with a three-run blast to right | 5-0 Lee. E.J. Cumbo answered one with his own to left field to make it a four-run game | 5-1 Lee. The Flames added three more to their lead in the B5th, Alex Passarella was called on from the bullpen to get the last two outs | 8-1 Tampa. The Spartans loaded the bases with three walks, and Dan Sullivan delivered with a grand slam to right-center in T6th | 8-5 Lee.
