HOW IT HAPPENED -- GAME ONE:
Luke Glancy came up big in the T4th with a single to center field, Jamarcus Lyons and Dan Sullivan both scored on the play | 2-0 Tampa. Play came to halt due to lightning in the B4th where the Fighting Knights had the bases loaded with only one out. Haden Erbe did not go back out for the restart, and Alex Passarella entered from the bullpen. Passarella got out of the bases loaded jam with no runs scored. With two outs in the T5th, Lyons doubled down the left line which scored Jordan Lala and Drew Ehrhard | 4-0 Tampa. The Spartans extended their lead in the T6th with two more runs | 6-0 Tampa. Heavy rain in the T7th forced play to be stopped again. Play was resumed the following day, and Cameron Sereda finished business off on the mound for the Spartans in game one | FINAL: 6-0 Tampa.
INSIDE THE STATS -- GAME ONE:
- Glancy collected 2 H, and 2 RBI.
- Passarella earned his 2nd win on the season.
- Sereda earned his 1st save of the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED -- GAME TWO:
The Fighting Knights were knocking on the door early in the B2nd with a runner on first and third. Michael Paul was able to get out of it unscathed to keep the scoreless tie. In the B3rd the Knights scored the opening run of the game | 1-0 Lynn. Glancy tied it in the T5th with a solo homerun to right, that was his second of the season. Following the homerun, back-to-back hits from Anthony Nunez and J.D. Urso put them in scoring position, and Jose Cadenas was able to knock them in | 2-1 Tampa. Spartans got another run from Jordan Lala on a ground out in the T9th | 3-1 Tampa. Braydon Nelson was called upon from the bullpen in the B7th, he went 3.0 IP for his 9th save of the season | FINAL: 3-1 Tampa
