TAMPA, Fla. – After thunderstorms and showers would delay the start of the game, Tampa would lose a tough series opener to Rollins. The winner of the best of three series will punch their ticket to Carey, N.C. for the NCAA Championship series.

The first scoring opportunity presented itself for Tampa in the bottom of the fourth inning, but were unable to capitalize after leaving two runners on in scoring position. Bottom 4 | 0-0 Tie

Tampa would even the score at one after a Dan Sullivan double to left field scoring Drew Ehrhard from first. Bottom 5 | 1-1 Tie

Rollins would regain and take the lead for a second time after a solo homerun to left field. Top 7 | 2-1 Rollins

The Spartans would be unable to get anything going offensively and would fall to the Tars in the opening game. Bottom 9 | 2-1 Rollins
