Spartans Prevail With 11th Inning Walk-Off
TAMPA, Fla. – The No. 3 University of Tampa baseball team took a low-scoring matchup with Georgia College as the Spartans walked it off in the 11th.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- A pitcher's duel between both starters carried into the eighth inning, but the Spartans broke the stalemate in the bottom half of the inning. Trey Felt replaced Georgia College starting pitcher Jacob Ryan and immediately ran into trouble when Danny Gutcher drew a leadoff walk. Anthony Nunez moved him over with a sacrifice bunt and Jordan Lala drove Gutcher in with an RBI double in the next at-bat. | 1-0 Tampa.
- In the top of the ninth inning, Ben Tuten scored the first run of the series for the Bobcats and tied the game at one apiece. | 1-1.
- The Spartans could not answer in the bottom of the ninth inning and the game moved to extras. Both teams stranded a runner in scoring position in the 10th inning, and Georgia College would do the same in the top of the 11th inning. In the bottom half of the inning, Tampa broke through with the first three batters reaching safely to load the bases with no outs. Two batters later, Jamarcus Lyons plated the winning run with a walk-off RBI single. | Final: 2-1 Tampa
