HOW IT HAPPENED -- GAME ONE:

• In the top of the second, E.J. Doskow opened up the scoring with a homer to left and gave the Spartans a 1-0 lead. Danny Gutcher with two outs doubled to right, which scored E.J. Cumbo | 2-0 Spartans.
• The Spartans put across three more in the fourth from a sac fly by Cumbo and a couple of singles by Gutcher and Jordan Lala | 5-0 Spartans.
• J.D. Urso scored on a double play in the fifth | 6-0 Spartans.
• Lala collected his second RBI of the afternoon with a single to right | 7-0 Spartans.
• Jose Cadenas had a single to right that scored two in the eighth | 9-0 Spartans.
• The Sailfish put across in the bottom half of the eighth via a wild pitch and a sac fly to center field | 9-2 Spartans.
• Cumbo scored Urso with a single to center field which stretched out the lead even further in the ninth | Final: 10-2 Spartans.

INSIDE THE STATS – GAME ONE:

• Eli Thurmond wins his second game of the season and went 7 IP, 1 Hit, 6 K's, and 0 ER.
• Urso had 2 hits, along with 2 runs, and a double.
• Anthony Nunez went 3-4.
• The Spartans had 16 hits collectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME TWO:

• Nunez hit a sac fly to center field that scored Lala in the first | 1-0 Spartans.
• Nico Saladino singled up the middle which scored Gutcher in the top half of the third | 2-0 Spartans.
• The Sailfish tallied their only run of the game with a single up the middle in the bottom half of the third | 2-1 Spartans.
• Urso hit his second homer of the season to left which gave the Spartans another two runs. Doskow singled to left and scored Nunez in the fifth | 5-1 Spartans.
• Drew Ehrhard singled down the left field line and scored Saladino. A couple of bases-loaded walks in the sixth gave the Spartans a seven-run lead | 8-1 Spartans.

INSIDE THE STATS -- GAME TWO:

• Skylar Gonzalez collects his second win, going 5 IP, 3 hits, 1 ER, and 7 K's.
• Paul Sullivan and Dalton Ross combined for 4 IP, allowing 1 hit and 7 K's.
• Saladino went 2-2, 2 walks, 2 runs, and 1 RBI.
• Urso went 2-4, 2 RBI, including 1 HR.
