No. 2 Spartans Improve to 6-0 in Conference Play

Tampa, Fla.  – The Spartans take both in the doubleheader to improve to 6-0 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED: GAME 1

  • E.J. Doskow opened up the scoring for the Spartans in the bottom half of the first that scored Jordan Lala | 1-0 Spartans.
  • The Eagles would answer right back in the next two innings and take the lead in the third | 2-1 Eagles.
  • The Spartans would put up seven runs in the bottom half of the third, led by a Danny Gutcher single that scored two | 8-2 Spartans.
  • Another big inning for the Spartans in the fourth, with five runs scored. Which included a three-run home run from Gutcher | 13-2 Spartans.
  • E.J. Cumbo hit his third home run of the year, that plated three more for the Spartans | Final: 16-2 Spartans.
