HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After a Jake Griffith double for the game's first base runner, Stephen Klein would drive in Griffith with a single to center for the game's first run. After a single off the bat of Anthony Nunez and Brayden Woodburn getting plunked by a pitch, the bases were all loaded up. J.P. Gates would draw a walk followed by a Santiago Garavito ground-out to bring two more Spartans across the plate. With two outs, Nico Saladino came up with timely hitting with a 2-run double. End 1 | Tampa 5-0.
- Klein and Woodburn would continue their production at the plate. Klein is knocking in Ray Mercer with a single, and Woodburn is in Klein and Griffith with a single. After a Gates walk, Garavito would smash a shot to left center off of the wall to score Gates and Woodburn before getting thrown out at third trying to stretch his double into a triple. End 4 | Tampa 10-0
- Nunez and Klein would reach base safely via walks; Woodburn would then drive in Klein with a ground out. Saladino, with the bases loaded, would drive one through the right side of the infield to put one more on the board before Gates would score on a wild pitch. End 6 | Tampa 13-0
