HOW IT HAPPENED:

• After Jake Griffith doubled and Stephen Klein reached first, Mike Valdez hammered a home run to left field for an early Spartans lead. Santiago Garavito would then come up next and single to left, followed by a Brayden Woodburn walk and a Danny Gutcher single to left later in the inning. The bases were juiced for Macallister Jorgensen. He did not disappoint, smashing one to left field for a grand slam. Top 1 | 7-0 Tampa
• After a leadoff single off the bat of Griffith, Garavito is second homerun in back-to-back days later in the inning to give the Spartans two more runs. Top 2 | 9-0 Tampa
• After walks from Gutcher and Jorgensen to lead off the inning, E.J. Cumbo was all over a hanging-off-speed pitch and hammered it to right field. Top 3 | 12-2 Tampa
• After a Gutcher double, Jorgensen drove him in with a single. Top 7 | 13-2 Tampa

• Ashton Pocol received his third win of the season. He pitched the first two innings, allowing 1 walk, 4 hits, and 2 runs.
• Jack Brodsky followed in relief, pitching a scoreless third inning, giving up 1 hits and striking out 1 batter.
• Jeremy Goins followed in relief, pitching a scoreless fourth and fifth inning while striking out 4 batters.
• Beckett White followed in relief, pitching a scoreless sixth inning, giving up 1 hit while striking out 2 batters.
• Drew Howard followed in relief, pitching a scoreless seventh inning, giving up 1 hit while striking out the other 3 batters.
