Tampa (10-2)
- The Spartans hosted Lynn University for the opening weekend of SSC play. The Spartans showed why they were pre-season selected to finish No. 1 in the conference by sweeping the Fighting Knights. Tampa's 1-2 starting rotation in All-American Skylar Gonzalez and C.J. Williams threw gems on the mound this past weekend. On Friday night, Gonzalez threw 8 innings, striking out 4, while only giving up two runs en route to a 6-2 victory. In game one of the doubleheader on Saturday, Williams threw 7 innings, striking out 11 (career-high), while only giving up two runs en route to a 9-2 victory. Both Gonzalez and Williams recorded their second victories. In game two of the doubleheader (game three of the series) on Saturday, Tampa's collected 14 runs, 13 hits, and 7 stolen bases, including Edgardo Villegas going 4-5 at the plate (3 doubles and a single), en route to a 14-8 victory and sweeping Lynn to open up conference play with a 3-0 start. The Spartans put on an offensive show all weekend with the bats and their wheels on the base paths. In the three-game series, Tampa swiped 13 bags, including Jordan Williams getting 7. Tampa outscored Lynn 29-12 and collected 31 hits, including 11 extra-base hits. The Spartans hope to have their 1-2 punch deal on the mound and offensive production continue into this upcoming weekend as they host Ashland, Davenport, and Minnesota Crookston.
Ashland (4-1)
- The Eagles opened up their 2025 season at the Houston Invitational. Ashland took two of three from three Top-25 teams, No. 3 Central Missouri, No. 23 Arkansas Tech, and No. 19 Arkansas-Monticello, before sweeping Concord University on Monday in a doubleheader. The No. 15 Eagles begin their Florida gauntlet spring break trip on March. 1st against the No. 1 Spartans before taking on seven opponents in seven days. Ashland looks to start their road trip with a victory at the Birdcage.
Davenport (5-1)
- The Panthers opened up their 2025 season going 5-0, sweeping four games from Northwood, before dropping their first game to Missouri–St. Louis on Monday. Davenport will take on four opponents, playing five games in five days during their trip to Florida. Davenport will take on SSC opponent Eckerd before taking on Ashland and then #1 Spartans for a doubleheader on Saturday, Mar. 1.
Minnesota Crookston (4-3)
- The Eagles opened up their 2025 season on the road and will not host their first home game until Mar. 28. MSU started their season in California, taking one of three from Stanislaus State. The Eagles then traveled to Colorado and took three of four from Wayne State. The Eagles continue to get their travel miles in as they come to Florida to take on seven opponents in nine days.
