Tampa (20-4)
- The Spartans traveled to West Palm Beach this past weekend as they swept Palm Beach Atlantic in a three-game series before dropping a mid-week matchup in Albany, Georgia, against Albany State. Despite the loss on Tuesday, the No. 1 Spartans offense was on full display this past weekend. Tampa put up 32 runs, 37 hits (10 extra-base hits), and stole 12 bags, including Jordan Williams's six stolen bags, over their three-game series with PBA. Brayden Woodburn recorded seven hits and three stolen bags, Jhoander Irigoyen had two multi-hit games, and the Spartans two three hitters in J.D. Urso and Edgardo Villegas combined for nine hits, six runs batted in, and seven runs scored over the weekend series against PBA. The No. 1 Spartans are back on their home turf after their eight-game road trip and look to continue their offensive production as they host Embry-Riddle (Fla.) and Saint Leo.
Embry-Riddle (Fla.) (16-7)
- The Eagles are 16-7 on the season and 3-3 in Sunshine State Conference play. After dropping two of three to Montevallo to begin the season, Embry-Riddle rattled off seven straight wins, sweeping a three-game series with Valdosta State and Barry and beating Edward Waters in a mid-week matchup; however, the Eagles were swept by Rollins on their home field. Embry-Riddle turned things around, though, becoming winners of eight of their last ten. The Eagles look to continue their hot streak as they take on the No. 1 Spartans.
St. Leo (9-16)
- The Lions are 9-16 on the season and 1-8 in Sunshine State Conference play. They started opening weekend, taking three of four from Augusta University. Then, St. Leo dropped seven straight, including getting swept by Flagler and North Georgia. Since then, the Lions have been 6-8 losers of four straight, including being swept by Barry and losing to No. 7 Florida Southern in a mid-week matchup. St. Leo will host Florida Tech for a three-game series before taking on No. 1 in six days.
