All-Time Series: This was the 192nd and 193rd meeting between these two programs. The Spartans are 131-61-1 against the Tars.
GAME ONE
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Brayden Woodburn led off the inning with a single to left. Edgardo Villegas followed, drawing a walk. Cole Russo then flew out to center field, but Woodburn would advance to third on the play. Santiago Garavito brought in the game's first run with a single to center to bring home Woodburn, and Villegas would advance to third on the play. Lenny Ashby then flew out to center field to bring home Villegas. End 2 | 2-0 Tampa
- Garavito reached base safely on an error by the Tar's first baseman to lead off the inning. Ashby then followed annihilating a pitch over the right field wall for his second home run on the season. Maddox King continued the rally with a single through the left side. Jordan Williams laid down a sacrifice bunt to advance King to second, and King would also take third in the play, with nobody covering third. With two outs, J.D. Urso doubled to center field to bring home King. End 4 | 5-0 Tampa
- With one out, King and J. Williams both singled through the left side of the infield. Nico Saladino was plunked with a pitch to load the bases up for the Spartans. Urso followed, ripping a double to the left field corner to bring home King and J. Williams and advance Saladino to third. Woodburn followed with a single backup the middle to bring Saladino and Urso home and give the Spartans more insurance runs. End 6 | 9-4 Tampa

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- With one out, Villegas drew a walk. After Kevin Karstetter reached base on a fielder's choice, King unloaded for his first home run of the season. End 2 | 2-0 Tampa
- Urso led off the inning with a double to left field. Urso would then advance to third and come into score on a Jhoander Irigoyen double to right center. With one out, Mike Valdez singled to center to bring home Irigoyen. End 3 | 4-0 Tampa
- Saladino led off the inning with a walk. Urso followed with a single to right and came around to score on a Valdez single. End 4 | 5-0 Tampa
- With one out, Karstetter hit a fly ball down the right field line that was overrun by the Tar's right fielder. Karstetter would come all the way around to score an inside-the-park home run. End 7 | 6-4 Tampa
- With one out, Urso doubled to center field and stole third base. Woodburn followed with an infield single to the Tar's shortstop to bring home Urso. Woodburn then stole second on a pickoff attempt and advanced to third on the play due to a throwing error by the Tar's first baseman. Irigoyen then was intentionally walked. After Ashby reached base on a fielder's choice, Villegas singled to right to bring home Woodburn. Russo would follow drawing a walk to bring home Irigoyen. With two outs, J. Williams doubled to left field to bring home Ashby, Villegas, and Russo. Saladino then followed with a single to bring home J. Williams. Urso followed with a single, and Saladino advanced to second on the play. Woodburn followed with a single to bring home Saladino. End 8 | 14-5 Tampa
