TAMPA, FL. – The #1 University of Tampa Spartans swept Eckerd in a doubleheader and in the series to wrap up the final regular season homestand for the Spartans.

All-Time Series: This was the 171st and 172nd meeting between these two programs. The Spartans are 129-43 against the Tritons.
GAME ONE
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Brayden Woodburn led off the inning by drawing a walk. Edgardo Villegas followed with a sharp groundball to the Tritons' second baseman for an infield single. Santiago Garavito followed with a walk to load the bases up. Kevin Karstetter then reached on a fielder's choice to the Tritons' shortstop, and Woodburn would come into score on the play. After Karstetter stole second and Cole Russo loaded the bases, Maddox King walked to bring home Villegas and advance everyone 90 feet. Jordan Williams followed with a single to left field to bring home Karstetter and advance everyone 90 feet. Then, Russo would come into score. King and J. Williams would advance a base on a wild pitch. With two outs, J.D. Urso would get plunked with a pitch to load the bases up once again. Woodburn followed with a double to left center to plate J. Williams and King. End 2 | 6-1 Tampa
- With one out, Karstetter tripled to center field. Russo followed with a double to right center to bring in Karstetter. After a King walk and Russo advanced to third on a wild pitch, J. Williams flew out to left field to bring home Russo. End 3 | 8-1 Tampa
- Russo led the inning with a walk and advanced to second on a wild pitch. King then was plunked with a pitch. J. Williams followed, laying down a perfectly executed sacrifice bunt to give the Spartans second and third with one out. After Nico Saladino was hit with a pitch to load the bases, Urso tripled to right field to clear the bases. Woodburn followed with a bloop double down the right field line to bring home Urso. - Karstetter would lead off the inning with a double to right field and advance to third on the play due to an error by the Tritons' shortstop. After a Russo walk, King lined out to left field to bring home Karstetter. End 6 | 13-4 Tampa
- Woodburn led off the inning by drawing a walk. Villegas then doubled to right center to bring home Woodburn. Garavito then drew a walk. Karstetter then flew out to right which would advance Villegas to third. Russo then drew a walk to load the bases. Drake Harman doubled to the left-field corner to bring home Villegas and Garavito. HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Urso led off the Spartans' offense with a triple to left field. After a Saladino walk, Woodburn singled through the right side to bring Urso home and advance Saladino to third. Jhoander Irigoyen followed with a single to right field to bring home Saladino and advance Woodburn to third. Mike Valdez followed with a single to center field to bring home Woodburn and advance Irigoyen to second. Lenny Ashby followed with a single through the right side to load the bases. With two outs, Joe Stella doubled to right center to bring home Irigoyen, Valdez, and Ashby. End 1 | 6-0 Tampa
- With one out, Valdez drew a walk. Ashby followed, drawing a walk as well. Karstetter then singled to third to load the bases. After getting an out, Jake Griffith walked to bring in Valdez and advance everyone 90 feet, and then Urso did the same to bring in Ashby. End 2 | 8-0 Tampa
- Ashby gets a Little League home run. He tripled to center field and advanced home on the play due to a throwing error by the Triton's shortstop. Karstetter beat out an infield single to second base and came around to score on a Saladino sacrifice fly. End 4 | 10-0 Tampa
- Valdez led off the inning with a single. Ashby followed with a single. Karstetter was plunked with a pitch to load the bases. Stella then flew out to right field to bring home Valdez. Then Ashby scored and Karstetter advanced to second on a wild pitch. Griffith then walked. Urso then singled to left to load the bases. Saladino followed with a sacrifice fly to right field to bring home Karstetter. Griffith would then come into score on a wild pitch, and Urso would advance to second. Woodburn followed with a double to center field to bring home Urso. End 5 | 15-0 Tampa
- After a one-out triple off of Ashby's bat, Matthew Fogel brought Ashby in with a sacrifice fly to center field. End 6 | 16-0 Tampa
