The Spartans won their 24th overall, 19th since 2000, and 5th straight Sunshine State Conference title with a 27-3 record in conference play over the regular season. Tampa also reached 40+ wins for the 4th consecutive season and 28th time in program history. In doing so, the Spartans brought home hardware. Jake Stipp, Jordan Williams, J.D. Urso, and C.J. Williams were selected First-Team All-SSC. Head Coach Joe Urso received his 15th SSC Coach of the Year award. Williams received the SSC Pitcher of the Year award. Brayden Woodburn, Jacob Fletcher, and Jhoander Irigoyen were selected Second-Team All-SSC. Lastly, Cole Russo and J. Williams received All-Defensive SSC honors. This will be Tampa's 25th NCAA appearance as they take on Albany State to open up conference play.
Albany State (30-20)
- The Golden Rams finished 4th in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a 21-12 record in conference play over the regular season. The Rams won four straight in the SIAC Conference tournament to bring home an SIAC Championship back home to Albany. Albany State (ASU) outscored opponents 56-26 in the four-game stretch, beating Miles College, Spring Hill College, and Savannah State University twice. ASU beat Tampa 8-6 on March 18th in their only regular-season matchup with the Spartans. The Golden Rams look to upset the No. 1 Spartans and seek to win a regional championship on the road.
Mississippi College (33-21)
- The Choctaws finished 4th in the Gulf South Conference with a 21-12 record in conference play over the regular season. Despite dropping their final game of the season, Mississippi College won seven of its last nine, including sweeping No. 12 Delta State. The Choctaws take on Sunshine State Conference opponent Lynn to begin their regional run.
Lynn (30-16)
- The Fighting Knights finished 3rd in the Sunshine State Conference with a 19-11 record in conference play over the regular season. Lynn finished the season winning 12 of their last 14, including sweeping No. 6 Florida Southern at the time. Lynn looks to make some noise as they take on Mississippi College to open up their NCAA tournament, as they play in familiar territory and travel to SSC opponent Tampa for Regionals.
