Spartans Earn First Top 25 Selection Since 2002
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The University of Tampa men's basketball team moved into the national top 25 poll as it is 17th in the NABC Division II Coaches Poll. The ranking marks the first for UT since the 2002 season, which also marked the last NCAA tournament appearance for the Spartans.
With an overall record of 14-4, the Spartans also sit atop the Sunshine State Conference with a league record of 7-2. The top team in the South Region has won five consecutive games, and has also knocked off four nationally ranked teams this season.
UT will be back in action on Wednesday in Fort Lauderdale where they will meet Nova Southeastern. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m.
