WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The University of Tampa (4-1) men's basketball team overpowered Palm Beach Atlantic University (5-5) on its home floor, taking a 73-41 victory over the Sailfish.
The Spartans built a double figure lead just under the midway point of the first half and did not let up as dominated nearly every aspect of the game. Anthony LaBruno came off the bench for the first time this season to score a team high 16 points for UT.
Fred Woods added 14 points as freshman Marcus Morrison came off the bench to lead Tampa with 10 rebounds. Rashad Callaway had a team-high nine assists for the Spartans.
Sophomore Glyn Hunter earned his first career start for UT and contributed seven points and four rebounds while leading the team with two blocked shots.
Tampa is back in action on Friday when it hosts Emmanuel (Ga.) College in a game that will be played at Tampa Prep. Game time is 2 p.m. UT will offer live stats for the game.
