Tampa Rebounds With Victory Over Lynn
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa (10-7, 4-4 SSC) men's basketball team ended a two-game skid with a 81-73 victory over Lynn University (13-6. 4-4 SSC) in Sunshine State Conference play.
The Spartans took the lead for good with 14:51 remaining in the first half and held off the Fighting Knights to record their third straight SSC home win. Tampa took a 40-32 lead to halftime and led by as many as 13 points in the second half to secure the victory.
It was a career day for Johnathan Ball as he turned in career highs of 26 points and 14 rebounds. Rashad Callaway added 23 along with a team high five assists and one steal.
Senior Arnaldo Abreu registered a career high as a Spartan with 13 points. He was 6-6 from the field and also recorded two rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Tampa hosts Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday in the team's final non-conference game of the season 5:30 p.m.
