
SSC Names Da’Markco Foster as its Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
ORLANDO, Fla. - University of Tampa junior guard Da'Markco Foster has been selected Sunshine State Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week presented by VALIC.
Foster (Cincinnati, Ohio) led the Spartans to a pair of regional wins at Saint Leo's Ames Classic, averaging 28.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per contest. In a 92-67 victory over Fort Valley State, Foster notched 28 points, four rebounds, and five assists. Playing just 24 minutes of an 83-82 thriller over Armstrong Atlantic, he tallied 29 points and three rebounds. Twenty-seven of Foster's 29 points came in the second half. He scored 10 of the Spartans' 12 points in the final two minutes of action to bring UT back from a four-point deficit. Foster connected on 60 percent of his field goal attempts (18-for-30) and three-pointers (9-of-15). He shot 71 percent (12-for-17) at the free throw line.
