
Spartans Set to Take on Yellow Jackets
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's basketball team will take on American International College for their second game at the Bob Martinez Athletics Center Friday. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
The Spartans are coming off of a 78-65 win against Southeastern University this past Tuesday. Three Spartans scored in double figures, including a double-double performance by Jordan Davis (13 points, 10 assists). The game featured stellar shooting as UT scored 50 percent from three- point range.
The squad will be led by upperclassmen, Da'Markco Foster, Vincent Cornu, and Davis.
American International College is 1-1 so far on the season. They are coming off of an 89-77 win against Long Island University. Three players have scored in double figures in the team's last two games.
Tampa leads the all-time series 2-0 American International. The teams last met during the 2000-01 season, where the Spartans defeated the Yellow Jackets 75-50.
Tickets are available at the gate for $5. Children 12-and-under will be admitted free. UT faculty, staff and students are admitted free when displaying a valid Spartan ID card.
