Davis Earns SSC Player of the Week

MELBOURNE, Fla. - University of Tampa senior, Jordan Davis, earns SSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors. Davis was selected SSC player of the Week from a pool of nominees for his performance during the week January 12-18 and will be nominated for USBWA National Player of the week.
The 5-10 guard from Tampa scored 19 points and pulled in 11 rebounds in a 63-48 victory over Saint Leo. Davis added eight assists, a block, and a steal to his stat sheet in his 38 minutes of play.
Davis tallied 26 points in a 63-55 victory over Palm Beach Atlantic. He added seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals in 36 minutes on the court.
Over the two game-stretch, Davis shot 11-28 from the floor, 9-17 from beyond the arc, and 14-15 from the line. He averaged 22.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game.
Davis and the rest of the Spartans are set to welcome in the sixth-ranked Florida Southern Mocs into the Bob Martinez Athletics Center. UT will look to improve on their four game winning streaks.
