
Sharks Outlast Spartans in SSC Weekend Matchup
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa Spartans dropped a home contest Saturday afternoon to the Nova Southeastern Sharks. Nova used 15 three-pointers ball en route to a 75-61 win.
Senior Eugene McCrory led the way for the Spartans as he racked up 19 points on 8-10 shooting from the field. McCrory also added four rebounds on the night.
Senior Jordan Davis and Sophomore Austin Rettig each added 10 points a piece. Sophomore Matt Johnson collected a game high seven assists to go with nine points.
Chris Page led the way for NSU, as he recorded 25 points, along with five rebounds, and four assists.
In the first half of play, the Sharks used 10 three-pointers in the opening half to go up 41-31 entering half time.
Tampa will be in action again on Wednesday, as they travel to Boca Raton to take on the Lynn Fighting Knights. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30.
