Barry Stuns Spartans With Last-Second Winner
TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa Spartans men's basketball team fall short after a hard-fought game against the Barry University Buccaneers on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half: Martin Lakovic started the scoring for Tampa making one of two free throws. Despite the early start, Tampa turned the ball over five times in five minutes and Barry capitalized off the turnovers going on a 7-0 run. Tampa then experienced a scoring drought, but it quickly ended with Bryan Williams hitting a mid-range jumper. Williams from there was on fire, going 5-6 from the three-point line. Even with Williams forceful dunk off of a defensive steal and 25 points in the half, Tampa couldn't stop Barry from scoring the ball. || Score: 40-32 (Barry)
Second Half: Mykah Brown started off hot scoring the first nine points of the half. From here, Tampa had a burst of energy and tied the game at 50. Derrick Felder hit a big three giving Tampa their first lead of the game. With under five minutes left, the game became scrappy with each team fighting to score. Tyson Leitao had a huge dunk giving Tampa the spark they needed to close out the game. The last two minutes were tense with back-to-back scored by each team. Lakovic grabbed a clutch rebound attempting to give Tampa the last-second shot. Despite the last-second push, Barry scored a gut-wrenching layup with 0.6 seconds left ending Tampa's momentum. || 73-71 (Barry)
