WEEK 5
Thursday, Dec. 29, 7:30 P.M. vs. Palm Beach Atlantic
Sunday, Jan. 1, 4:00 P.M. @ Lynn
Tampa is back to SSC action as they take on two struggling conference teams.
SSC Teams with National Rankings: #2 Nova Southeastern, #22 Florida Southern
Tampa Spartan's Men's Basketball: (3-6, 2-1 SSC), #4 in SSC
Tampa
- The Spartans are turning the page after hosting a competitive Tampa Classic 10 days ago. The impressive North Georgia Nighthawks manhandled them. Following their Saturday loss, last weekend, to the Nighthawks, the Spartans bounced back and came out with a win in a wire-to-wire matchup against Flagler. Now Tampa is back in action as they take on two favored SSC matchups. They will first host Palm Beach Atlantic on Thursday, Dec. 29, at 7:30 pm. Then the Spartans will travel to Boca Raton to match up against Lynn University on Sunday, Jan. 1, at 4:00 pm.
Palm Beach Atlantic
- The Sailfish look to begin a winning streak despite their struggles to close out games. Although their record is 5-5, PBA has been in almost every game this season. They have struggled in SSC play with a record of 1-3 and a point differential of 31. Recently, Palm Beach Atlantic did come out on top against Walsh University; however, the Sailfish will be on an 11-day layover when they match up against the Spartans, as well.
Lynn
- Despite their 2-7 record Lynn University is struggling. They are last in the SSC with an 0-4 record in conference play, and the Fighting Knights have only beaten Johnson University – Florida twice. Lynn hasn't been in the majority of their games, and the Spartans look to follow in their previous opponents' footsteps!
