WEEKEND PREVIEW: 1-1 SPARTANS HEAD INTO WEEK TWO AT HOME

TAMPA, Fla. - The Spartans gear up for two-game weekend
 
Week 2

Friday, 7:00 p.m. vs Francis Marion

Saturday, 2:30 p.m. vs Georgia College

 

Tampa

  • The Spartans sit at 1-1 on the season after an opening night win against Allen and a loss against Benedict last weekend. Amari Davis is currently the 6th leading scorer in the Sunshine State Conference, averaging 19.5 points per game, while Tyson Leitao is tied for first in rebounding, averging 12 per game.

Francis Marion

  • Francis Marion's record is currently 2-1. They are coming off a dominating road win against Coker University on Wednesday night, where 7 players were able to score 10 or more points. Junior guard Farid SaintCyr Jr. is the teams leading scorer, averaging 19.3 PPG.

Georgia College

  • The Bobcats sit at 2-0 this season with close wins against Limestone and North Greenville. Georgia College won each game by a margin of 3 points. They will head to Saint Leo on Friday Night to take on the Lions before their matchup with Tampa on Saturday afternoon.
