
Spartans Fall Short Despite Late Comeback
TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa Spartans fall to Georgia College Bobcats despite a late comeback.

HOW IT HAPPENED
1st HALF
Although the Spartans were trailing for the first few minutes, Jesse White continued his fantastic shooting behind the arch and knocked down a corner three to take a 10-7 Spartans lead. After the Bobcats 17-12 lead, Amari Davis would drive to the basket and get fouled. Davis made both his free throws, and White followed with another three ball to tie the game at 17. However, the Bobcats would keep a commanding lead throughout the half and enter the locker rooms with a ten-point lead. | Score: 46-36
2nd HALF
The Spartans would struggle to carve into the Bobcats lead. They would finally cut the lead to three at 65-62 with ten minutes left in the half, thanks to Harp Hunter going on a 7-0 run himself. Tampa could never take the lead or scare up the score, and the Bobcats would pull away and eventually hold onto the lead.
