HOW IT HAPPENED

1st HALF 

The game opened up with back-and-forth scoring, with the largest lead from either team being three points. After a Piedras layup to take an 11-10 lead, the Spartans wouldn't trail for a moment in the half afterward. Tampa would go on a 19-4 run to take a commanding 29-15 lead before the under-eight media timeout; Jaxon Toney led with seven points during the Spartans run. After a Piedras layup, the Spartans continued their electric offensive display with an 11-0 run from six different scorers, ending in a De'Andre Harvey layup.
