Tampa, Fla – The University of Tampa Men's Basketball team took the floor tonight to face #23 Palm Beach Atlantic.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF: Tampa came out strong with an early three-pointer by Kaden Froebe and a layup by Amarion Nimmers to quickly take a 5-0 lead.
Ryan Blount followed with a dominant performance, scoring a layup and a three-pointer to extend Tampa's lead to 10-2, showcasing sharp teamwork and offensive efficiency. The Spartans' defensive efforts were equally impressive, with Nimmers and Blount securing key rebounds to keep Palm Beach Atlantic's scoring at bay. Bryan Williams added to Tampa's momentum with a three-pointer and free throws, maintaining the Spartans' edge despite Palm Beach Atlantic's attempts to rally. Tyson Leitao and Nimmers hit timely three-pointers to bring Tampa back within striking distance when the lead slipped. Tampa's balanced play, combining strong defense and precise shooting, kept the game competitive as they headed into halftime poised for a strong finish.

SECOND HALF: Tampa rallied in the second half with standout performances from Leitao and Williams, who combined for crucial points to cut into Palm Beach Atlantic's lead. Williams shone with a critical jump shot and a three-pointer that energized the team, contributing to a momentum shift. Nimmers added a highlight-reel dunk and a clutch three-pointer, showcasing Tampa's ability to capitalize on turnovers and fast breaks.
