Golfers Finish Buccaneer Invite

MIAMI, Fla. - The University of Tampa golf team played to a 15th place finish at the Buccaneer Invite, which was held at Westview Country Club. Florida Gulf Coast took top honors in the 15 team field.

The Spartans were led by Ryan Barnett, who shot a +9 to finish in a 37th-place tie. Barnett's top round was a 71 in the third round. As a team, UT finished at 924 (+60) and rebounded from a 314 in round one to shoot a 305 in each of the next two rounds.

Tampa has one remaining meet on the schedule as it travels to Sunshine State Conference Championships on April 16-17 at the Duran Golf Club in Viera, Fla.
