Tampa Fights For Ninth Place Finish at Webber Invitational

LAKE WALES, Fla. - The University of Tampa golf team played to a ninth place finish at the Webber Invitational. A total of 11 Spartans competed in the event, with four finishing in the top 30 at the two round tournament.

Kyle Roy paced UT, finishing in a tie for 21st place. Roy finished strong with a 74 in the second round. He finished at 152, or +8. Kris Shane (153), Charlie Green (154), Ryan Barnett (155) and Nicolas Jutigny (158) rounded out Tampa's top five.

The Spartans return to action on Mar. 2-3 at the Florida Tech Invitational in Melbourne.
