Tampa Finishes Eighth at SSC Championships

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - The University of Tampa golf team finished in eighth place at the Sunshine State Conference Championships. The Spartans shot a final round of 302, giving them a three round total of 909. The tournament was won by Nova Southeastern University and played at Lake Region Yacht & Country Club.

The Spartans were led by Ryan Barnett and Kris Shane, both players finished in 28th place. Barnett and Shane carded closing rounds of 78 and 79 respectfully. Chad Bouchard shot Tampa's low final round with a 73, giving him a 229 total, and a 35th place finish. Nicolas Jutigny closed out with a 75 and also placed 35th. Kyle Roy rounded out the Tampa line up with a final round 76 and a 237 total.

The event marked the final competition of the season for the Spartans.
