UT Turns In Ninth Place Showing At Webber Invitational
LAKE WALES, Fla. - The University of Tampa golf team finished ninth at the Start2Finish Webber Invitational, which was hosted by Webber International University at Lake Wales Country Club.
The Spartans finished at 912 (+60) as the event was championed by South Carolina-Beaufort, with a score of 887 (+35). UT shot a 300 in Sunday's second round, marking its top round of the event.
Kris Shane and Nicolas Jutigny were Tampa's top performers, ending the event in a tie for 13th place at 225 (+12). Shane shot a 74 in each of the first two rounds while Jutigny finished strong, scoring a 73 in the final round on Monday.
Eric Snow earned a second round 75 to finish at 231 (+18) as Kyle Roy rounded out UT's scorers with a 235 (+22). Quin Trigg also played in Tampa's lineup, shooting a 244 (+31).
Tampa is back in action on Monday, Mar. 1 at the St. John's Invitational. The event will be played in Fort Pierce at Indian Hills Golf Course.
