Spartans Fare Well At Treasure Coast Men’s Classic
FORT PIERCE, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's golf team finished sixth overall at the Treasure Coast Men's Classic, which was hosted by St. John's University. Saint Leo University won the event, which consisted of nine teams.
UT finished at 891 (+39) after a third round 307. The top Spartan round came on Monday as it shot a 290. Tampa notched a 294 in Tuesday's round. The Spartans did defeat three NCAA Division I opponents, including Boston College, St. Bonaventure University and Florida A&M University.
Nicolas Jutigny led Tampa with a 218 after shooting a 74 in the third round. At +5, Jutigny came in at No. 12. Eric Snow placed 23rd with a 224 (+11).
Kevin Genuardi (225), Kyle Roy (226), Taylor Noel (228), Kris Shane (234) and Quin Trigg (234) also participated for UT.
The Spartans return to action on Fri., Mar. 12 at the St. John's Invitational at Howey In The Hills, Fla.
