
Two Rounds Complete As UT Heads Into Final Day At SSC Tournament
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The University of Tampa completed the first two rounds of the Sunshine State Conference Tournament as it currently occupies seventh place. The event is being played at Grande Oaks Golf Course and is being hosted by Nova Southeastern University.
The Spartans carded a first round score of 288 and followed with a 298, equaling a first-day score of 586. Barry University is the overall leader at 559, trailed by Nova Southeastern (562) and Florida Southern (562).
Through two rounds, Kyle Roy is Tampa's top individual with a 143. He led all Spartans with a 71 in the first round and registered a 72 in the second frame to place 13th overall.
Nicolas Jutigny (146), Kris Shane (148), Eric Snow (150), and Taylor Noel (153) were also part of head coach Rick Christie's lineup.
Play will start on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. as the teams will complete the final round of the annual event.
