
UT Wraps Up Play at North Alabama Invitational
DESTIN, Fla. - The University of Tampa turned in a 10th-place finish at the North Alabama Invitational, which was played at Indian Bayou Golf Course.
Tampa finished the two-round event with a 632, shooting a 312 in Tuesday's round. North Alabama won the tournament with a 58.
Helder Alves and Jason Steele finished in the 19th-place tie with a 151. Alves fired a 73 on Monday as Steele matched the top score on Tuesday with a 73.
Also competing in head coach Rick Christie's lineup were Zach Schuster (152), Bobby Ray (162), Steve Embree (170) and Myles Wharram (DNF).
Tampa returns to action on Oct. 19-20 at the St. John's Invitational. The tournament will be played at Mission Inn Country Club in Howey in the Hills, Fla.
