Spartans Finish Seventh at Warner Invitational
SEBRING, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's golf team was seventh at the Fourth Annual Warner Invitational, which was a two-round event at Sun 'N Lakes Golf Course.
UT fired rounds of 325 and 311 to come in at 636 (+60). Faulkner College won the team title with a 587 (+11) as Webber International was second. A total of 13 teams competed.
Tampa was led by Myles Wharram, who shot a 152 (+8) for an 18th-place finish. Wharram turned in UT's top round with a 72 to finish play. Also competing for the Spartans were Chris Clarke (157), Will Monnery (163), Jonathan Singleton (166) and Jason Steele (169).
Grant Heelan also golfed for UT as an individual. He finished competition with a 176.
The Spartans return to action at the Florida Tech Invitational on March 16-17. The tournament will be played at The Majors Golf Course in Palm Bay, Fla.
