BOWLING GREEN, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's golf team opened its 2017-18 season with a 14th-place finish at the Griffin Invitational.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

OTHER NOTABLES:
• Buller opened the tournament with UT's best individual round, carding a 71.
• Celestino and Elwell were the lone Spartans to shoot under 80 in all three rounds.
• Also competing for Tampa were Myles Wharram (239), Grant Heelan (242) and Nick DiMarco (246).
• West Florida's Jacob Huizinga was the top individual with a 202 (-14).
• Also representing the Sunshine State Conference were Lynn (2), Florida Southern (4), Nova Southeastern (5), Florida Tech (7), Saint Leo (10), Palm Beach Atlantic (13) and Eckerd (15).
UP NEXT:
The Spartans travel to Dunedin, Fla., for the University of South Carolina-Beaufort Invitational on October 1-3. The event will be played at Innisbrook Golf Club.
