Spartan Newcomer Bo Wardynski Captures 2020 Colorado Junior Amateur
AURORA, Colo. - University of Tampa incoming freshman Bo Wardynski won the boys championships at the 2020 Colorado Junior Amateur at Commonground Golf Course on Wednesday.
Wardynski, a native of Parker, Colo., recently graduated from Regis Jesuit High School. He won the boys title by two strokes, finishing 4-under par in the three-round tournament. He concluded the event with a 68 (3-under) in Wednesday's round. He finished ahead of Hunter Swanson, who was the runner-up after carding a 65 in the final round.
This marks the first junior major title for Wardynski, who was a first-team all-state performer as the number-one golfer for Regis Jesuit as a junior and senior. He was also honored as the Continental Player of the Year.
Wardynski will enroll at the University of Tampa in the fall of 2020 and be immediately eligible to compete for head coach Gary Hilton.
