
Aadam Syed Leads Way as Spartans Challenge Top Teams
MELBOURNE, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's golf team competed from start to finish at the 15-team field at the Space Coast Collegiate Championship, placing third overall after going back-nd-forth with No. 3 Lynn and No. 5 Barry for the lead.

OTHER NOTABLES:
- Syed was the top performer for the Spartans in all three rounds.
- Second-round scores of 69 by Fessler and Syed were the top UT rounds for the tournament.
- The three-day tournament featured one round on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
- Head coach Gary Hilton registered senior Hogan Bendert as the team's lone individual, He would shoot a 224 to place 30th overall as the top individual at the event.
- A total of 15 teams competed.
- Other SSC schools joining UT and team champion Lynn were Barry (2), Florida Southern (4), Embry-Riddle (11), Nova Southeastern (13), Eckerd (14) and Palm Beach Atlantic (15).
