
George Eubank Jr. Leads Tampa at Spring Opener
LAKELAND, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's golf team played its first tournament of the spring season, coming in seventh overall at the Matlock Collegiate Classic.

OTHER NOTABLES:
- For the second time in a row in the 2021-22 season, Eubank, Jr., was the top UT golfer.
- Marshall attended and competed in his first tournament of the 2021-2022 season, making it his second appearance of his career.
- A total of 15 teams competed.
- Barry's A.J. Ewart was the medalist with a 204 (-12), winning by five strokes.
- Joining the Spartans, team champion Barry and host Florida Southern (2) from the Sunshine State Conference were Nova Southeastern (3), Saint Leo (6), Palm Beach Atlantic (9), Rollins (11), Lynn (11), Florida Tech (13), Embry-Riddle (14), and Eckerd (14).
- UT entered the tournament ranked No. 70 in the Golfstat NCAA Division II rankings. Florida Southern is listed at No. 26, while Texas A&M-Commerce and Cameron University were tabbed No. 33 and No. 37 respectively.
