
Jonty Marshall Runner-Up to Lead Spartans at Southeastern Collegiate
Valdosta, Ga. – The University of Tampa men's golf team placed 11th overall at the Southeastern Collegiate, as Jonty Marshall came within one stroke of medalist honors.

- Marshall fired a career-best 67 followed by a 70 as he led the field after day one.
- This marks the first tournament of the season where Marshall was the team leader.
- UT head coach Gary Hilton did not register any individuals.
- A total of 18 teams competed.
- Jordan Doull of Columbus State University was the medalist with a 210, edging Marshall by one stroke.
- Joining UT from the Sunshine State Conference were Nova Southeastern (8), Saint Leo (9), Barry (10), Lynn (13), Rollins (17) and Florida Tech (18).
- The event featured 15 nationally-ranked teams. Tampa entered at No. 49. Top-ranked Barry led the field, followed by No. 4 Lincoln Memorial, No. 6 Lee, and No. 9 Nova Southeastern from the top-10.
