Tampa Wraps Up Fall With Fourth Place Finish
DAVENPORT, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's golf team completed its fall slate with another top performance, placing fourth among the 14-team field at the Citrus Intercollegiate.

OTHER NOTABLES:
- Cena led the Spartans for the second consecutive tournament.
- An opening round 67 from Cena marked the low round for UT.
- A total of 14 teams competed.
- Head coach Gary Hilton registered Alex Mercier as his lone individual.
- Mercier would lead all Spartans with a 214 to finish inside the top 20.
- Adam Alvarez of Florida Southern was the medalist with a 203, winning by one stroke.
- Joining the Spartans and team champion Barry from the Sunshine State Conference were Nova Southeastern (2), Saint Leo (8), Lynn (10) and Florida Southern (13).
- UT is ranked No. 16 in the nation, and was joined by eight additional nationally-ranked opponents.
- No. 2 West Florida and No. 3 Barry were the top-ranked teams at the event, as UT finished ahead of UWF and a total of five ranked teams.
- Several nationally-ranked players competed, including Tampa's Cena (No. 35) and Marshall (No. 96).
