Leonardo Bono Leads Spartans at Shark Invitational
DAVIE, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's golf team participated at the NSU Shark Invitational held at the Grande Oaks Golf Club in Davie, Florida, on October 2-3, 2023. The tournament featured 16 teams and a total of 92 players, and it was played on a par-71 course spanning 6,731 yards.
In the team standings, the University of Tampa Men's Golf team finished 10th with a total score of 888, which was 36 over par.
Top Tampa Golfers
- Leonardo Bono was the top performer for the Tampa team, finishing tied for 17th place with a total score of 218 (+5). He carded rounds of 70, 75, and 73 over the three-day tournament.
- Jonty Marshall had a solid performance, finishing tied for 24th place with a total score of 219 (+6). His rounds included scores of 71, 73, and 75.
- Alex Mercier finished tied for 46th place with a total score of 224 (+11). He carded rounds of 75, 73, and 76.
