Spartans Complete Weather Shortened National Preview
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - At the 2024 National Preview at PGA National Resort, the University of Tampa men's golf team finished 11th out of 14 teams, posting a score of +19 over two rounds (289-298–587). The event was shortened as Tuesday's final round was canceled due to weather. The final results were calculated by Monday's two rounds of play.
In a competitive field, Colorado Christian University took the team title with a combined score of -7, while their player Sungyeop Cho claimed the individual title with an impressive -9 (65-68–133).
Top Golfers
- Louis Galvin and Jonathan Garbely who both tied for 26th place individually with scores of 146 (+4). Galvin shot rounds of 75 and 71, while Garbely posted 72 and 74.
- Mohit Balaji contributed with a total score of 149 (+7), tying for 44th place.
- Linus Landahl and Cooper Nelson rounded out the Tampa squad. Landahl tied for 53rd with 151 (+9), and Nelson finished tied for 70th with 159 (+17).

Tampa is back in action on October 7-8 at the Shark Invitational. The tournament will be played at Grande Oaks Golf Club in Davie, Fla.
