Spartans Conclude Fall Season at Citrus Invite
DAVENPORT, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's golf team was in action at The Citrus Intercollegiate at ChampionsGate Golf Club, finishing tied for 11th place out of 16 teams.
The tournament, played over two days from October 28-29, 2024, featured a par-72 course measuring 7,086 yards. Lincoln Memorial won the tournament with a total score of 868 (+4).
Tampa recorded scores of 302, 308, and 304, totaling 914 strokes and finishing at +50 for the tournament, tying with Saint Leo for 11th place.
Top Tampa Golfers
- Mohit Balaji led the Spartans with rounds of 73, 76, and 72 for a total of 221 (+5), tying for 10th place overall.
- Jonathan Garbely posted rounds of 75, 76, and 74 to finish at 225 (+9), tying for 25th place.
- Cooper Nelson carded rounds of 75, 74, and 80, finishing at 229 (+13), tying for 48th place.
- Linus Landahl recorded rounds of 79, 84, and 78, totaling 241 (+25), tying for 74th place.
- Cian Hughes closed out his rounds with scores of 83, 82, and 80, for a total of 245 (+29), finishing in 77th place.
