
Spartans Back in Action at Saint Leo Invite
DADE CITY, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's golf team competed in the Saint Leo Invitational at the challenging Lake Jovita Golf Course, finishing in 11th place out of 18 teams. The Spartans posted a three-round total of 882 (+18), with their best round coming on the second day when they recorded a 281 (-7).
Team Performance
Tampa's rounds of 296, 281, and 305 placed them 11th overall, just ahead of Embry-Riddle and tied Georgia College and Eckerd at +20. The tournament was won by host Saint Leo (-9, 855), followed closely by Lee (-7, 857) and Florida Southern (-5, 859).
Top Tampa Performers
Several Spartans put in strong individual performances, with Mohit Balaji leading the way, finishing T-15th at 215 (-1). His second-round 69 (-3) was a highlight for the team.
