NCAA Lacrosse Selection Show Set for Sunday at 7:30 P.M.
INDIANAPOLIS - The NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse selection show is set for Sunday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m. and the sixth-ranked University of Tampa men's lacrosse team is seeking to make its first tournament appearance. The selection show can be seen on NCAA.com or by clicking here.
The Spartans are looking to become the first school, at any NCAA level, from the state of Florida, to make the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament.
Tampa finished the regular season with a 15-2 record and winning both the Sunshine State Conference regular season and tournament titles.
The NCAA tournament will feature eight teams, four from the North region and four from the South Region. Tampa is currently ranked third in the South Region, behind top seed Limestone and No. 2 seed Mercyhurst.
The NCAA quarterfinals will take place on Saturday May 10 with the top two seeds in each region hosting.
The winners of the quarterfinals will play in the NCAA national semifinals on May 18 at the site of the highest remaining seed in each region.
The NCAA men's lacrosse championship game is scheduled for May 25 at 4 p.m., in Baltimore.
