Men's Lacrosse To Open Season Against Queens
TAMPA, Fla – The University of Tampa Spartans will begin the 2020 season tomorrow as they welcome Queens University of Charlotte to the Naimoli Family Athletic and Intramural Complex.
The Matchup: No. 5 University of Tampa (0-0) vs. No. 14 Queens University of Charlotte (1-0)
Date/Time: Saturday, February 8, 2020, at 1: 00 p.m.

Series History: These two teams have met four times in the past, with the Spartans victorious on all occasions.
About the Spartans: Tampa is returning two All-Americans from last year's season. Ross Dickerson was named a Second-Team USILA All-American, and he also earned First-Team All-Sunshine State Conference. Jake Mosher McGraw was also a Second-Team USILA All-American for the Spartans. Mosher McGraw additionally earned First-Team All-Sunshine State Conference as he ranked 12th in the SSC in goals per game. Colin White is the top returning scorer for Tampa, finishing last season sixth in the conference with 2.5 goals per game and third for total goals with 50. The Spartans were also voted as favorites to win the Sunshine State Conference in the coaches' preseason poll.
About the Royals: The Royals enter this match with a 1-0 record after defeating Lynn University earlier on in the season with a 12-7 victory. Quinn Tallant led the Royals offensively in their season-opening win, totaling six points on three goals and three assists. In goal, Kyle Hornik picked up the win with a total of 15 saves. He was also named AstroTurf SAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Tickets: Tickets for are $5 for adults, senior citizens, and coaches. Children under 12 will be admitted free. UT students, faculty and staff will be admitted free with a valid student ID.
