Spartans and Golden Knights Set to Clash

TAMPA, Fla – The fourth-ranked University of Tampa Spartans are set to return home for a Saturday afternoon matchup against the College of Saint Rose Golden Knights. Tampa enters the game coming off a win against #9 Adelphi this past Wednesday.    

The Matchup:  No. 5 University of Tampa (5-0) vs. College of Saint Rose (3-0)

Date/Time: Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 12:00 p.m. 

Location: Naimoli Family Athletic and Intramural Complex || 1120 West North A Street, Tampa, FL 33606

Series History:  Saturday's game will mark the first time these two programs will meet on the lacrosse field.

About the Spartans: Tampa is entering the matchup with a perfect record of 5-0. Last time out the Spartans had a top-10 battle as they squared off against the ninth-ranked Adelphi University Panthers. The Spartans would claim the victory as they won 13-6. On the season, the Spartans are averaging 16 goals per game, while allowing 6.8 goals per game which ranked seventh in the nation. Ross Dickerson is leading the way for Tampa in the faceoff circle as he leads the nation with a .824 winning percentage.

About the Golden Knights:  The Golden Knights enter the game with an overall record of 3-0. In their previous game on Wednesday, they defeated the Florida Southern Moccasins 15-9 in Lakeland. On offense, Jordyn Marchiano and Kyle Meoli are leading the offense as they each have seven goals three games into the season.

Tickets: Tickets for are $5 for adults, senior citizens, and coaches. Children under 12 will be admitted free. UT students, faculty and staff will be admitted free with a valid student ID.
