
No.6 Tampa Remains Undefeated at Home with Conference Win
TAMPA, Fla. – The No.6 ranked University of Tampa Spartans men's lacrosse team remains undefeated at home with its first conference win.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST QUARTER
The first quarter would open with great defensive play from both teams, with each goaltender making early saves. The Eagles would open the scoring three minutes into the quarter. Freshman Grant Green netted a goal of his own to tie the game with just over eight minutes left. Owen Miller found Harry Kilkowski in front of the net to put Tampa in the lead. The Spartan offense scored less than one minute later with Daniel Fitzpatrick netting a goal from Canyon Birch. The Tampa offense ignited late in the quarter, putting them in a four-goal lead heading into the second.

SECOND QUARTER
The second quarter would begin similarly to the first, with each team's defense locking it down in their zone. Miller scored an unassisted goal of his own early in the quarter to build the Spartan lead to five goals. Kilkowski found himself one on one with the Eagles' goaltender, before selflessly passing the ball to teammate Luke McAnaney to net a goal. The Eagles responded right back to cut the Tampa lead to five goals once again. Charlie Bolesh netted a late goal to put the Spartans ahead by six goals heading into the half.

THIRD QUARTER
The second half would begin with the Spartans netting back-to-back goals early, building their lead to eight goals. Freshman Jackson Bashaw continued to build his resume with an assist on Miller's second goal of the matchup. The Eagles answered back with just over nine minutes left in the quarter, cutting into the Spartan momentum. Tampa's offense continued to roll, and they headed into the last 15 minutes with a comfortable lead.
