Daniel Fitzpatrick Earns Offensive Player of the Week Honors
MELBOURNE, Fla. - Daniel Fitzpatrick has been named Offensive Player of the Week by the Sunshine State Conference as announced by the league office early Monday afternoon.
Fitzpatrick garners Offensive Player of the Week with his play in Tampa's wins over Florida Tech (14-11) and No. 16 Florida Southern (17-8). The Chester, New York native tied the game-high with four goals in the win against Florida Tech. He also picked up three groundballs and caused a turnover against the Panthers. At Florida Southern, Fitzpatrick scored four goals and dished three assists on his way to a game-high seven points. Fitzpatrick scored eight goals off 17 shots and 14 shots on goal.
Sunshine State Conference Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of April 3 - 9, 2023. Athletic Communication Directors of member institutions nominate athletes.
