Milani and Poma Earn Spot on USILA Team of the Week
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Andrew Milani and Alex Poma earn USILA/Blatant Lacrosse Team of the Week honors.
The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2024 Division II Blatant Lacrosse Team of the Week accolades on Wednesday, May 1. Players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees is as follows:
1. Evan Clement, Attack, Lewis
One game, four goals, three assists, seven points, two ground balls. Clement had the game-tying goal with 19 seconds left in regulation and the game-winning goal in OT to beat #19 Rockhurst. He finished the day with 4 goals, 3 assists, and 2 groundballs.

2. Alex Poma, FOGO, Tampa
Two games, 22 ground balls, 40-53 face-offs. Alex Poma went 18-25 from the circle versus No. 19 ranked Florida Southern. Tampa defeated Florida Southern on home soil, 17-11 to advance to the SSC Championship. In addition, he collected eight groundballs which led all players in the game. In the Championship victory at home over No. 9 ranked Rollins, Poma delivered again going 22-28 from the circle and adding a game-high 14 groundballs. His 14 groundballs were just one shy of tying his season high. Overall, the graduate student went 40-53 and had a 75% win rate.

He was named the SSC Tournament Most Outstanding Player due to his performance over the two games.

4. Brian Brennan, Defense, Pace
Two games, seven ground balls, and six caused turnovers. Brennan turned in six caused turnovers and seven ground balls in a 1-1 week for Pace Four of those CTOs and five ground balls came against Assumption in the quarterfinals where Pace emerged on top, 16-8.
5. Ryan Kemp, Attack, Pace
Two games, six goals, four assists, 10 points, six ground balls. Kemp turned in another double-digit point week. In a setback at Saint Anselm, he turned in three assists. In the Setters quarterfinal win over Assumption, Kemp posted his third six-goal effort of the year, on seven shots, while also turning in one assist and

6. Ryan Smith, Attack, Mercy
One game, five goals, 10 assists, 15 points, two ground balls. Smith had a school-record 15 points and 10 assists to go along with five goals and two ground balls in Mercy's 27-8 win over D'Youville on Sunday.
7. James Steinke, Midfield, Colorado Mesa
Two games, seven goals, one assist, eight points, three ground balls, and one caused turnover. James led our offense in the RMAC tournament scoring 7 goals on 10 total shots and adding an assist. He also picked up a GB off the face-off to score the game-winner 7 seconds into overtime to win the RMAC tournament.
One game, five goals, 10 assists, 15 points, two ground balls. Smith had a school-record 15 points and 10 assists to go along with five goals and two ground balls in Mercy's 27-8 win over D'Youville on Sunday.

8. Dylan Radke, Goalkeeper, Maryville
Two games, .648 save percentage, 12 goals allowed. Helped the Saints earn a share of the GLVC regular-season title with an 11-8 win over No. 10 Indianapolis. Maryville's first-ever win over UIndy and highest ranked opponent the Saints have defeated in program history. Made a season-high 16 saves, including 12 in the second half, and eight in the fourth quarter. Shut out UIndy in the third quarter and held the Greyhounds without a goal for more than 18 minutes. Began the week by allowing just four goals in 30 minutes at Quincy and making six saves.
